Christ Centred Homeschooling Are we allowing secularism to creep into the homeschool? Are we allowing worldly standards to establish definitions of success? Have we clarified the differences between a man-centered education and a God-centred education enough? Kevin Swanson gets back to the basics on a biblical worldview in this presentation.
Homeschool essentials Don’t miss the essentials! These are the most crucial and the most basic, age-old, biblical principles for the education of a child. Faith and character are preeminent. The principle of individuality is the most liberating principle. Relationships lie at the heart of it. Life integration turns knowledge into an extremely useful and powerful tool for success. But, how many of these elements are missed by conventional systems of learning, and many homeschools as well? These are the basics, coming from Kevin Swanson’s 53 years of experience in the movement, and his book, “Upgrade, the Ten Secrets to the Best Education for Your Child.”
| Popular culture, entertainment & family | Kevin Swanson Popular culture is everywhere around us. It influences the peer groups, and sets the worldview and the cultural perspectives of almost everybody today. Very few have the wisdom and the strength to swim against the stream. So, how does a family make its cultural choices? What part should entertainment play in the home? What are the major biblical principles that should govern our discernment of music, movies, etc.? What is your family culture, and how can you be more intentional in constructing it? |
Permissive parenting vs Persistent, Patient & Proper Parenting Apathy and permissive parenting is on the rise. Parents less and less love their children enough to discipline them. And, parents less and less love God and honor God enough to correct them. This was Eli’s problem, and God brought an end to Eli’s household entirely. They all died. Here, we present a practical guide to discipline and teaching your children to obey their parents and to honor God.
Worldview Matter Getting the Right Worldview in History, Science, and Literature Will a Christian curriculum look any different from a public school curriculum, when it comes to subjects like history, science, and literature. As the author of about half of the Christian Family Discipleship Curriculum provided by Generations, Kevin Swanson discusses the fundamental and radical differences a Christian worldview provides in these subjects.
Rise and fall of the West and the impact on the family The building blocks of western civilization have been destroyed: bible belief, the family, the church, etc. The destructive results are obvious. Kevin Swanson summarizes his massive work completed in 2022 — The Rise and Fall of Western Civilization. These are the most significant and world changing times, since AD 475. Tremendous challenges and opportunities like ahead. But the story itself is quite spectacular. Understanding the times is critical for the men of Issachar in the Old Testament — so that they would know what to do. . . .no less so for us.
God centred family Here is a broader view of the Christian family. Will your family be child-centred, parent-centred, or man-centred? Or will it be a God-Centred family? Will your family be centred on academics, work, or entertainment and play? What does family life look like for the God-Centred family?

Fathers Filled with Faith and Love Here is a challenge to fatherhood. How do we avoid the traps of apathy and anger? Fatherhood is a test of our faith and love, but also, the means by which we grow in these areas. Here Kevin Swanson speaks to the great need of the day — fathers!
